Safehaven Seeking Qualified LPNs to Join Brain-Injury Caregiving Team

Health, dental, and vision plans will be included in the robust benefits package available to new hires.

ROCK SPRING, Ga. (January 25, 2021) – Safehaven, a long-term care facility for brain-injured adults based in Walker County, Ga., is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join its team of night-shift caregivers on a full-time basis, with a substantial benefits package available after a probationary period of 30 days.

The long-term care facility, which serves Chattanooga/North Georgia area brain-injured adults and their families in a medical care and support capacity, is looking to add team members to its night shift, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Safehaven employees are charged with the physical, mental and spiritual care of each resident, in alignment with the organization’s mission of providing a high quality of life to residents, who have lost their ability to function independently due to a life-altering brain injury.

“Safehaven isn’t just a job. It’s more like a big family,” said Diane Brown, caregiver at Safehaven. “There’s an immense joy that comes with caring for our residents and helping them make the absolute best out of their lives,” she added.

After a probationary period of 30 days, team members have access to Safehaven’s full benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as a 401k and paid time off.

“We’re searching for people who view caregiving as a calling,” said Karen Williams, vice president of nursing at Safehaven. “Our residents are truly our family, so finding the right people who have the perfect balance between experience and passion is incredibly important to us,” she added.

Interested candidates may contact Chip Rodgers at 706.438.8662 for more details about available positions.

About the Jimmy Simpson Foundation

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is dedicated to providing the best quality care for the brain injury community. It was founded as a 501c3 organization by Carol Simpson after her husband, Jimmy, suffered an anoxic brain injury as a result from a fall out of a hospital bed after surgery. While searching for long term placement for Jimmy, it was difficult to find an environment that fostered individuality as well as provided a safe home environment. As with many non-profit organizations, the family saw a need within the brain injury community and stepped up to meet that need.
